Yes, indeed has it really been 4 years since this??
Because to me, it feels just like yesterday.
Thanks to an email today with this lady we walked down
memory lane together. Her brother (Will) graduated from MSU
this past weekend and sat in the same section we did
on our special day, so of course we had to walk down memory lane.
And I love where I am right now in life, but it certainly is
fun to be able to look back down memory lane
and see how far each of us has come.
Yes it has been four years since we all have gradated from here
the greatest place on earth, Mississippi State.
And trust me not a day goes by when I do not wish that I
could have a coffee date at the bakery, be talking
with Mrs. Donna in the SA Office, have a Delegate
office hour, and of course have the
chance to walk across the Drill Field.... I can say
that the Lord is ever so faithful. I took away a degree
from MSU, but more than that I took away life experience
and some INCREDIBLE friendships.
We have already been through Weddings, new
jobs, promotions, and of course moving to new cities.
More so I know that there are only more life
curve balls ahead that each of us never expected.
Somehow though nothing has changed between these people
that I love dearly....our friendships have only gotten stronger.
And While we have football seasons to reunite us
there is nothing like a random email or a phone call to
connect us all back together.
Beyond that though I know that my life has still been touched
by having these precious friends in my life. And although
we are beyond the walls of MSU, their influence on my
life is ever present.
While it has already been only 4 years we have already
seen the changes in each other, and know that the Lord already
has more changes ahead for each of us.
However I know that I have been blessed with incredible
memories and sweet friendships.
I certainly never would have told you I would be where I am in
life, but that is the funny thing about life, only the Big Man
knows what is truly going to happen.
So as the years go by..... I can honestly tell you
some things just never get old or go away. I still laugh, cry, and
celebrate over the these precious 4 years.
And I have learned that true friendships never fade and
only get better with time and even across states.
And of course that reunions make for even great memories
To celebrations ahead, moves, and life changes...
may the Lord continue to bless the years ahead.
We certainly are all still big kids in my eyes.......
